
September crazy busy month. So much going on don’t really know where to start. Oliver has his first week of school under his belt. I thought almost 2 weeks without class would be long but now it’s over. I decided to run during my time off and have really improved my 2 km run. I am actually running it now instead of it running me.
September is not going to slow down so I will really need to make conscious decisions about my training. Next week is the forms seminar I am really looking forward to learning Kempo 2.
Ten days to go on my commitment I made in January. I was sitting at 260 pounds with no direction no plan. I decided to be 200 pounds by my 39 birthday on September 17th. So much has happened in May I found Kung Fu and Silent River again and my life has changed. I set goals and go after them. Some I achieve others I re adjust.
Ten days before my goal date I am 215 pounds and in the last three weeks started a new diet and exercise program that is going great. So I think I will miss by ten pounds I really have never been so happy about not achieving a goal. Ten pounds when you have lost 50 really is not that far to go. So my re adjustment is 185 by Jan 1 the start of ubbt 7. All goal’s aside my health has improved which is really the biggest accomplishment.
In two weeks I am going to attempt something that has been eating at me for almost six or seven years. I am going to hike the glacier at Rodgers pass. Frances and I attempted this the day we got engaged 7 years ago. We never made the glacier and it has encumbered me ever since. Sept 21st. The day after our anniversary we will try again. I am so excited I thought it would be one of my personal goals for ubbt but I can’t wait. I feel I am in the shape I need to be in. It will also make up for the two classes I will miss while on our short vacation.
